Heather C. White, Associate

Heather C. White practices general municipal law, including municipal real estate transactions, public construction, conservation, land use and zoning, open meeting law, and public records. Ms. White joined Petrini & Associates in 2009 and prior to that was an associate with the Worcester law firm of Brackett & Lucas, serving as lead counsel to multiple towns and districts during her time there. Ms. White’s current work primarily includes advising public works officials on such matters as public construction, bidding procedures, and land acquisitions in connection with large capital projects. She has authored numerous appellate briefs and argued before the Massachusetts Appeals Court on several occasions in cases involving zoning, affordable housing, and public works.

Ms. White is the Vice President of the City Solicitors and Town Counsel Association. She is a frequent lecturer and presenter on issues of concern to the CSTCA and other organizations. She has been a speaker on municipal law topics for various educational programs sponsored by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and the City Solicitors and Town Counsel Association and is the co-author of such articles as What’s up with the Attorney-Client Privilege? Recent Developments in the Wake of Suffolk Construction v. DCAM, Massachusetts Lawyers Journal, (Mass. B. Ass’n, Boston, M.A.) Vol. 18 No. 12 2001 and Recent Decisions under the Comprehensive Permit Law, Section Review (Mass. B. Ass’n, Boston, M.A.) Vol. 10 No. 1 2008.

Ms. White obtained a B.A. in Law and Society from American University and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
