Heather C. White practices general municipal law, including municipal real estate transactions, public construction, conservation, land use and zoning, open meeting law, and public records. Heather joined Petrini & Associates as an associate in 2009 and prior to that was an associate with the Worcester law firm of Brackett & Lucas, serving as lead counsel to multiple towns and districts during her time there. From 2009 until 2014, Heather’s work at P&A primarily included advising public works officials on such matters as public construction, bidding procedures, easement acquisitions, and contracts. Following that, she served as Legal Counsel at the Massachusetts Port Authority and rejoined P&A as Of Counsel in 2016. She has authored numerous appellate briefs and argued before the Massachusetts Appeals Court on several occasions in cases involving zoning, affordable housing, and public works. 

Heather is a past President of the MMLA and served on the Public Law Section Council for the Massachusetts Bar Association. Heather has been a speaker on municipal law topics for various educational programs sponsored by MCLE and is the author or co-author of articles, such as What’s up with the Attorney-Client Privilege? Recent Developments in the Wake of Suffolk Construction v. DCAM, Massachusetts Lawyers Journal, (Mass. B. Ass’n, Boston, M.A.) Vol. 18 No. 12 2001 and Recent Decisions under the Comprehensive Permit Law, Section Review (Mass. B. Ass’n, Boston, M.A.) Vol. 10 No. 1 2008.

Heather obtained a B.A. in Law and Society from American University and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.  Heather was named a Rising Star by New England Super Lawyers in 2013.
